Financial fair play has not forgotten Marseille
Olympique de Marseille is still monitored by UEFA’s Club Financial Control Body (ICFC) and the club will have to save money.
According to the newspaper information The Team, the UEFA Club Financial Control Body (ICFC) reminded the Marseille club of a very important rule. Indeed, this rule is the fact that it is prohibited any significant deficit, above 30 million euros over three accounting years.
As the media explains, the body would have returned a settlement agreement to Olympique de Marseille. This agreement is quite simply a threat of financial and sporting sanctions if OM does not manage to bail out the coffers in the coming months.
Olympique de Marseille hopes that these sanctions will not be added to the previous catches in June 2020. The Marseille club had already not respected the previous settlement agreement.
Knowing that Paris Saint-Germain is in exactly the same situation.
