European Heritage Days at the Savonnerie Marius Fabre » PACA’s economic and political newsletter
Transmission, know-how, sustainable development, Marius Fabre is committed to a “sustainable heritage”.
On Saturday September 17 and Sunday September 18, 2022, the 39th edition of the European Heritage Days will be held, the theme of which will be sustainable heritage. On this occasion, the Marius Fabre soap factory will offer a program honoring transmission, knowledge[1]doing and sustainable development, through visits and fun activities, free and open to all. During these two days, the public will be invited to come and discover how the Marius Fabre soap factory, a “Living Heritage” company, preserves and enhances its craftsmanship in order to pass it on to future generations for a more sustainable future. Since 1900, the philosophy of the Marius Fabre soap factory has remained unchanged: to manufacture natural products that respect people and the environment. The doors of the soap factory workshops and the Marseille soap museum will be open to the public. Founded in 1900 by Marius Fabre in Salon-de-Provence, the soap factory specializes in the manufacture of real Marseille soap and black soap. This know-how has been passed down for more than 120 years within the Fabre family, which ensures that only natural products based on vegetable oils are used.
