Ukraine received three more Gepard anti-aircraft missiles from Germany
As part of military assistance, Germany handed over three more Gepard anti-aircraft self-propelled artillery installations to Ukraine. Ukraine received the first installations shortly before that. Thus, now the Armed Forces of Ukraine operate fifteen such vehicles.
This is stated in the official messages on the website of the German government.
In addition to SZU, Ukraine received 11 American-made M113 armored personnel carriers as part of military aid. The following are planned for further shipment to Ukraine:
- 20 rocket launchers of 70 mm caliber and two thousand rockets to them.
- 1592 units of 155 mm artillery shells.
- 255 Vulcano guided rockets for 155 mm artillery.
- 60,200 shells of 40 mm caliber.
- 6 units of autoloading equipment.
- 40 units of communication devices for combating drones.
- 12 armored repair and evacuation vehicles.
- 30 MG3 machine guns.
- 4000 shells for the Gepard SZU.
earlier, earlier US President Joseph Biden approved a new package of military aid to Ukraine with a total cost of 775 million dollars. The main thing that will be included in it are unmanned aerial vehicles-reconnaissance, as well as armored vehicles with protection against detonation on mines.
NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems, which the USA promised to hand over to Ukraine, will be delivered only in October, or even in November. These will be the first of the promised air defense systems.
