the expert said about the missile threat to Kyiv from Belarus – TSN Exclusive – tsn.ua
Due to the accumulation of Russian missile systems on the border with Ukraine, there is a serious threat of missile attacks on Kyiv and the so-called decision-making centers in the property.
In addition, the threat of missile strikes from the territory of the Republic of Belarus remains for other territories of Ukraine.
Military expert Dmitry Snegirev told about this in an interview with TSN.ua.
“Deceive the repeated detection of the probability of detecting missile strikes on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. “Iskander”. The fact is that at one time Belarus suppressed purchases in the Russian Federation of this modification of operational-tactical systems. But there are several modifications,” the expert said.
The possibility of using the export version of the Iskander is up to 280 km. However, there is an Iskander M with a range of up to 500 km.
And here is the big question – what operational-tactical complexes will be transferred from the territory of the Russian Federation. The Republic of Belarus also has its own operational-tactical complex “Polonaise”, for which you can use the M20 missile with a range of up to 300 km. That is, all this gives reason to say that the use of the territory of the Republic of Belarus for the use of missiles must be carried out as a serious scenario”Snegirev said.
At the same time, he said that he did not provide information from the investigators of the Belarusian Gayun about the deployment of Iskanders near the Belarusian airfield Zyabrovka, “on whom the Russian ensign inadvertently smoked.” This corresponds to an element of the Russian information-psychological operation.
“The point is that at this Zyabrovka airfield there are indeed warehouse for S-300, S-400 missiles, but not the Iskanders,” the military expert noted.
“That is, the probability of hitting the target. The S-300, if it is converted to strike at certain places, the range of impact is up to 200 km. Lets say that Attacking the so-called decision-making center can be changed. The discussion is also about the city of Kyiv. We must not reject this scenario, we must accept it to the rigor,” summed up Snegirev.
Recall, on August 16, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Belarus Valery Zaluzhny expressed concern about the deployment of missile systems as part of the state border from outside, including at the Zyabrovka airfield.
