Good results for the archers of San Marino in the weekend of August
Last weekend the Acquaviva sports field hosted two days of archery competitions. The traditional summer event, organized by the Titan Archers, once again attracted archers from all over Italy and beyond, with registrations also arriving from France and Luxembourg.
The event began on Saturday with the national outdoor tournament, a competition on 72 arrows, with the athletes engaged at different distances, from 25 to 70 meters, based on the class they belong to.
Winner in the Olympic category at 70 meters is the result of the junior of the Titan, Leonardo Tura which with 614 points improves the junior national record. Manuele Magnani of the Rimini archers and the San Marino player completed the podium Andrea Gualandi. Emanuele Guidi stops at the foot of the podium, returning after an injury that has kept him away from the races for a long time. Among the students, first place for Matteo Dragoni (60 m) and Lucrezia Tura in the girls category (40m). Second and third place for Vanessa Voltan and Sara Vagnetti competing for the first time in the breeding category; absolute debut and silver medal for the very young Tommaso Ottaviani in the 25m.
Sunday was the turn of the XXIV International Tournament 50-70 mt. Olympic Round. Seeded head was again Leonardo Tura with 605 points, which in the eliminations exceeds the quarterfinals with a dry 6-0 Fagheon Yohann of the team ‘La Croix End Touraine’. The clash in the family follows in the semifinals, with the veteran Paolo Tura finished 5-5 and resolved by Leonardo at the play-off arrow. Also fought the the final against Marco Baldini (archers from Faenza) with two sets tied at the beginning but then resolved by the standard bearer of the Titan in the following due, thanks to the 6-2 final, which also puts the seal on the second day.
The day of Giorgia Cesarini, who had achieved the personal best in qualifying. After beating French Puyjalon (6-0) in the semifinals, she got the also happened in the final versus Daniela Pellegrini with the sequence (29-26-29). To enrich the haul of medals comes also the bronze of Paolo Tura and Lucrezia Tura, for the first time competing in the alleve class. In the team ranking the archers of the Titan win the first position.
