Jorge Almeida wins at Mêda and becomes three-time national champion
On the 14th of August, another skill test was held in the city of Mêda. The race counts towards the Portuguese Skills Championship and Raiano Skills Trophy.
22 of the 32 registered pilots were admitted to the start, competing for the absolute general classification and the classification in the different classes.
At the end of the four passes Jorge Almeida, followed by António Borges, 1.1 seconds, and Fernando Dias, 2.172 seconds, the three of Group 1, appearing in the fourth Dino Almeida, the first of Group 2.
Regarding the partial classifications of the different groups 1, 2 and 3, and respective class A and B vehicles, the winners were: Telmo Pereira, in Group 3, Class B, original rear-wheel drive, Rui Loureiro, in Group 3, Class A, vehicles Front-wheel drive car, Dino Almeida, in Group 2, Class B, transformed rear-wheel drive vehicles, in Group 2, Class A, transformed front-wheel drive vehicles, António Borges, in Group 1, Class B, original, new rear-wheel drive cars and Jorge Almeida, Group 1, Class A, not fixed front-wheel drive.
The Cidade da Mêda Expertise is a partnership between the Guarda Unida Desportiva and the municipality of Med, carried out in the square next to the C+S School, in front of a large audience and around with several collaborations: Volunteer Firefighters of Mêda, Vinilourenço, Jorge Martins de Almendra trailers, Pinhel Fogo, sports commissioners from Guarda Unida and Foz Côa Automóvel Clube, among others.
On the 28th of August, the municipality of Mêda will once again arrange the meeting with motor sports with the holding of the V Rampa da Mêda, on the road that connects Longroiva to Mêda and whose registration is open on the 22nd of August.
