Man stabbed woman 16 times then went for a walk – Austria
A 59-year-old stabbed his wife 16 times last November because of an argument. After the bloody deed, he went for a walk.
A dispute is said to have been the trigger for a cruel act on November 19 of the previous year in the multi-party house in Innsbruck (T): A Serb (59) provoked himself in an argument with his wife (50).
“According to the results of the investigation, there was a dispute between the two on the morning of the crime, during the course of which the accused wife fell on the bed, took a pointed kitchen knife with a blade length of 19.5 centimeters and another unknown object and stabbed her 16 times as well hit,” according to the “Tiroler Tageszeitung” (TT) in the indictment.

The perpetrator then left his victim in cold blood in the apartment, changed his clothes and calmly went for a long walk. “When he returned to the house, he asked a neighbor to call the police because he had killed his wife with the resuscitation measures,” prosecutor Julia Klingenschmid told TT.
But the Albanian could not be saved, the emergency doctor could only determine death. The 59-year-old made a full confession and has been in custody since then. On September 14, he had to answer for murder in the Innsbruck Regional Court, presided over by Judge Helga Moser. An expert certified that he was sane at the time of the crime.
