Konyaspor without a win despite superiority
Arabam.com Konyaspor were held to a 1-1 draw by FC Vaduz despite the Mevlana-town visitors dominating in every respect.
Turbulent first half
After a shattered early game, Konyaspor made a comeback and created a huge chance with Amilton da Silva, the 32-year-old Brazilian heading the crossbar from Ahmet Oguz’s cross and then sending the ball wide. On the other hand, Ibrahim Sehic deflected a long-range shot from 22 meters from Tunahan Cicek to a corner. In terms of play, the game was overshadowed by many fouls and tough duels, so that the Liechtensteiners made two changes in the first half.
The green-whites don’t reward themselves
After the half-time break, Konya took over the reins and determined the game. The young defender Fabio Fehr had to save the ball twice off the line. A nice individual action by Konrad Michalak was not rewarded either when his low shot was also scraped off the line.
Residue out of nowhere
When it was only a matter of time before the Green-Whites took the lead, the hosts shocked the Turks out of nowhere. Defender Fehr crossed from half field and found substitute Franklin Sasere who put the hosts ahead. Konyaspor didn’t lose their composure and could be out in the 88th minute with Muhammet Demir after goalkeeper Benjamin Buchel was only able to parry a shot from Robert Muric forward. So everything remains open before the second leg, which takes place in Konya in a week’s time.
