Albert Vallci leaves Red Bull Salzburg for FC St. Gallen – soccer
Salzburg – Thursday, August 4th, 2022, 1:15 p.m
Albert Vallci is leaving FC Red Bull Salzburg after three and a half years. The 27-year-old from Styria becomes a Swiss legionnaire at FC St. Gallen.
The defender has signed a three-year contract with the current runners-up in the Super League.
After the transfer from Wacker Innsbruck in January 2019, Vallci played 59 games with five goals and seven assists. Four championship titles and cup victories testify to a highly successful time.
In St. Gallen he meets former Bulls coach Peter Zeidler.
“Albert settled in very quickly after moving from Innsbruck in 2019 and immediately became an important part of our team with his open, positive manner. Unfortunately, Albert has been struggling with a serious injury for the last year and a half and he hasn’t played much in the meantime he is fully fit again and definitely wants to be on the pitch for a week, which is why this change makes sense. We wish Bertl all the best for his future career and say thank you for a successful and great time together,” said sporting director Christoph Freund.
Vallci says himself: “The move to FC Red Bull Salzburg was a big step in my career and I’ve had a lot of extraordinary experiences here. But now the time has come to look for a new challenge, which I found with FC St. Gallen. I would like to thank everyone here at the club, my teammates, the staff and all the fans for the great time.”
