are already known the 22 finalists of the 8th edition of Apps for Good Portugalthe national competition organized by CDI Portugal that seeks the best for social problems.
Altogether, this year’s edition of the contour competition with the participation of more than 180 applications from all over the country, with the participation of more than 180 applications. The finalist teams were selected during the June meetings that gathered between the Azores, in Valongo and in Carcavelos
Among the finalist applications, for example, solutions like the EP+ app, created by young people from the Homem Cristo Secondary SchoolDesigned to automate the processes of booking visits, attendance of education and nursing, and sales call services, and sales of services for the care of inmates of prison establishments.
Already FlowerBud, developed by students from Escola Secundária da Maiawants to help users to know when to observe the plants they have at home, informing them of other important characteristics for their maintenance.
ONE Flash Help app, from Alcains Basic and Secondary School,- medication communication between education to solve Helping Medication problems, from Escola Básica e Secundária do Pico, promotes a help service especially for the elderly.

The 22 teams will present their applications at the final of the 8th edition of Apps for Good Portugal, which will take place on the 20th of September, at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. 10 prizes awarded: 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the Secondary and Basic Education lines, prizes awarded to Young Students (from .PT and Synopsys), Cooler Planet/BNP Paribas prize and Energy&Climate prize (Galp).
Remember that last year, RestaurArt, created by young people from the Paços de Ferreira Secondary School to facilitate communication between furniture restaurant professionals and customers, it won the 1st Prize for the Secondary Education Line.
The application that won the 1st prize in the Basic Education category was MyOwn from Camilo Castelo Branco Secondary School in Vila Nova de Famalicão, an application that allows you to identify the owner of lost clothes or objects.
