Ukraine and the EU agreed on cooperation within the framework of the European Migration Network.

Today, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Denys Monastyrskyi, met with the EU Commissioner for Internal Affairs, Ilva Johansson.
The parties discussed cooperation with the European Union in the field of internal affairs, borders and management of migration processes.

As a result of the meeting, Administrative Agreements on establishing cooperation between the European Commission and the State Migration Service within the framework of the European Migration Network were signed.
The ministry says that this should result in the exchange of up-to-date and objective information regarding the situation on migration and asylum, as well as allow the Ukrainian side to participate in studies and meetings of the EMM.

According to Denys Monastyrskyi, these agreements are an additional tool for synchronizing the migration policy of Ukraine and the European Union.
now, in May, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Mary Hakobyan said that more than 6 million Ukrainians went abroad because of the war. Of them, more than 5 million moved to an EU country.
In July, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees released data that since February 24, more than 9 million people have crossed the border of Ukraine.
