Kick-off to the Tirol League 2022/23 on the last weekend in July 2022. On Friday there are three games on the program, both the relegated team from the Tirol League – SV Innsbruck – and the promoted team from the Landesliga – SV Weber Beton Oberperfuss – lose their games. Oberperfuss lost 0:1 in Münster, SV Innsbruck in mil clear with 0:3. Great derby between SV Kematen and the Volser SV – 3:3 after 94 minutes with Völs equalizing in the last second.
Mils beat Regionalliga Tirol relegated SV Innsbruck
Andreas Graus, coach SC Mils: “It was definitely the expected difficult game against SV Innsbruck. Both teams fight very hard, absolutely equal at the beginning of the game. After the first opportunity for us, the guests shot the bar in return – it could have been 0:1 there. In the 24th minute, however, Max Ablinger scored the opening goal and after that we had the game under control very well. It was certainly a difficult task to play against SVI, but my kickers coped well with the challenge. A penalty for us in the 42nd minute – Daniel Zauner converted. 2-0 at break. Eight minutes after the restart, the preliminary decision! Philipp Santeler sneaks up on the guests’ goalie, steals the ball from him and scores to make it 3-0. That was the end result.”
Six goals in the derby between Kematen and Völs
Hannes Brecher, Völser SV coach: “That was an absolutely casual derby, exciting to the end. We had everything under control in the first half and were able to take the lead in the 27th minute through Marco Hesina. Marco can also add ten minutes later to make it 2-0. Before the break, however, an incredibly spectacular goal to make it 1:2 – from the Heumelf point of view – by Johannes Raitmair. So it’s time for a break. In the 51st minute, Peter Gatscher equalized for Kematen – from my point of view from a clear offside position. Then we really swam – and in the 72nd minute Sam Abfalterer scored 1:2. Absolutely deserved, but then very late – in the 94th minute – Franz Gruber’s absolutely deserved equalizer. 3:3 a.m. End in a very good and attractive derby.”
