Fewer cases of Covid-19 deaths in the last week in Portugal: 72 deaths and 29,277 infected – Sociedade
Portugal registered in the last week (July 19 to 25) 29,277 new cases of Covid-19, 6,324 less than in the previous week. number of deaths also committed, 38 with a total number of 72 victims, less than in the last one.
Hospital admissions also dropped compared to last week, with a total of 833 admissions to wards (196 fewer) and 54 to intensive care units (five more).
According to the bulletin of the General Directorate of Health (DGS), on Monday, on Monday, there were 284 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, having registered an increase of 18% compared to the previous week, and the rate of inhabitants transmissibility (Rt) of the coronavirus dropped to 0.86.
In Lisbon and Vale do Tejo there were 11,882 new cases, 3,344 less than in the previous week. 23 people victims of Covid-19, 22 less than in the previously recorded period.
In the North, there were 6624 new infections, 1780 less than before, with 17 deaths, plus one. The Center region recorded 4424 cases (minus 518) and 10 deaths (minus 13).
In Alentejo there were 1532 positive cases (minus 212) and four (minus nine) and in the Algarve there were 2148 infections by SARS-CoV-2 (minus 445) and 10 deaths (plus two).
In the autonomous region of Madeira, there were another 1015 new cases of Covid-19 (162 more) and seven deaths (four more). In the Azores 1652 people tested positive (minus 187) and one person died (minus one).
