RB Salzburg are kidding Manchester United over their alleged interest in Benjamin Sesko
The Austrian series champion RB Salzburg has reacted with humor to rumors that storm jewel Benjamin Sesko should be on the list at Manchester United.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano had reported that the Red Devils were “well informed” about the situation of the 19-year-old Slovenian and that he was one of the players the English record champions were watching closely.
The social media department took advantage of this on the Salzburg English-language channel and indirectly entered transfer negotiations. The first, not very serious, demand from the Austrians: 300 million euros plus the Portuguese Bruno Fernandes.
But that didn’t seem to be enough. Later there was another tweet demanding one billion euros, Bruno Fernandes and Fred in exchange for Sesko.
Sesko moved from NK Domzale to Salzburg in 2019 and was initially parked for two years at Farmteam FC Liefering. He has been part of the professional squad since last season and, due to his stature and style of play, has already been recorded with Erling Haaland, who once wore the Salzburg jersey himself. However, Sesko is still a bit short of the Norwegian’s hit rate. So far he has scored twelve goals in 38 cases in Salzburg.
