Turismo Centro de Portugal presented bets for 2023 at the General Assembly
Activity Plan and Budget for the next year approved by the partners.
The Regional Tourism Entity of the Center of Portugal (TCP) was held today at the General Assembly AG, which had as main to present the points of Activities and Budget for 2023, among other matters.
The meeting took place at the Teatro-Cine de Pombal, and the participants unanimously and/or majority approved all the items on the agenda. The General Assembly was chaired by Leopoldo Rodrigues, president of the municipality of Castelo Branco, and the secretary was Francisco Veiga, vice-president of the Coimbra City Council.
After Pedro Pimpão, mayor of Pobal, welcomed the partners, Pedro Machado, president of TCP, announced the partners that the participating Turismo Centro de Portugal is the national destination of BTL – Bolsa de Turismo de Guest Lisboa 2023, a distinction he said was “a high point” in the entity’s strategy. Pedro Machado also highlighted as ambitions for the year 2023, namely to get the region to grow in tourist demand above the results of 2019, the reference so far, and which reinforces its presence in the 28 international markets that send visitors.
This was followed by the presentation of the general guidelines of the Regional Ecotourism Program for the Central Region of Portugal. This is a project designed by TCP and is in various stages of stakeholder recruitment. The program aims to systematize successful cases and good practices in structuring ecotourism programs, as well as identifying the main tourist attractions at this level.
In the following moments of the agenda, the AG thanks and welcomes a Budget Review 2/2022 and the Plan of Activities for 2023, as well as the Budget and Personnel Map of the next one.
The conclusion was also approved for Arte na TCP to join the “Cortiçada Art Fest – Laboratory for Integrated Landscape Management”, a private for-profit association, a private for-profit association in the territories of the region was finalized by Carlos Miranda, president of the Sertã City Council.
