Muren in Tyrol, Carinthia and Salzburg

Storms triggered mudslides in Tyrol, Carinthia and Salzburg on Tuesday night. No injuries have been reported so far, but there is property damage and some roads will be closed.
In the Tyrolean Stubaital, the parking lot of the Gletscherbahn was flooded and a parked car was swept away. No personal injuries were reported, the Stubai Glacier Road was closed to all traffic. In Finkenberg, a tree fell on three cars in a parking lot. The Tyrolean Reschen Pass was also closed due to a mudslide – more on that in tirol.ORF.at.
Landslide hit three cars on Mölltalstraße
A landslide moved the Mölltalstraße (B106) in Upper Carinthia in the evening. As reported by the Carinthian State Police Directorate, everything between kilometers 37.8 and 39.5 “partly the south-facing slope above the main road” came loose. Three cars were hit and partially swept away, but all occupants were able to free themselves and were unharmed – more on that in kaernten.ORF.at.
Farm damaged by Mure in Lungau
In Thomatal in Salzburg’s Lungau, a farm was damaged by a mudslide. According to the police, the residents stayed in the house and were unharmed, the animals were taken out of the stable. A part of the Bundschuh-Landesstraße was buried by the debris flow in the area of the Fischergraben – more on that in salzburg.ORF.at.
