Trafalgar Square shows England’s semi-final against Sweden
Trafalgar Square will broadcast the semi-final between England and Sweden on a big screen for 5,000 football fans this Tuesday (July 26).
So far, the Lionesses have torn apart the competition in these ECs – with four straight wins and a rather sublime 16 goals.
The semi-final kicks off at 8pm at Bramall Lane, Sheffield – but 5,000 Londoners can watch the action on a screen in central London, in what will be the country’s biggest outdoor display.
Interested in being in Trafalgar Square? The screening is free to attend and is first-come, first-served (although people are asked to register your interest and sign up for updates).
It’s standing room only, so you may want to bring a picnic blanket (no camping chairs allowed). Accessible viewing space with chairs and wheelchair space will be available.
The display is part of EURO 2022 Trafalgar Square Fan Party. With a pop-up football pitch; live panel discussions, interviews and music; and official UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 merchandise, the fan party is in place from now until July 31 — when the final will be played at Wembley.
(On Tuesday, the fanfest closes at 5:00 p.m. and reopens at 6:00 p.m. before kick-off at 8:00 p.m.)
More information about the semi-final screening and the Trafalgar Square Fan Party can be found on the page Mayor of London website.
Other big screens are also set up around the city for the action. Check them out.
