Ukraine updated the list of critical import services, excluded advertising and royalties and included FIFA and UEFA tournaments
The government of Ukraine approved the new edition of the list of services, works, and intellectual property rights under the import of which the National Bank is recommended to ensure the execution of transfers.
According to government order No. 814, which came into force at midnight on July 23, it includes such services as advertising activities, vehicle rental, settlements under license agreements, in particular, royalties.
At the same time, services related to the participation of football clubs “Vorskla” (Poltava), “Dynamo” (Kyiv), “Zorya” (Luhansk), “Shakhtar” (Donetsk), “Dnipro-1” (Dnipro) were included in the list. in UEFA European Cups, as well as the national team of Ukraine in competitions under the auspices of UEFA and FIFA until June 2023.
In addition, it includes, in particular, services for the provision of personnel of non-resident companies, services for a number of special repairs, operational management services, as well as services for the organization and conduct of recreation, sports and health camps for children, teenagers and young people.
As it happened, with the beginning of the war, the government approved a short list of critical import goods, against which foreign currency could be purchased. Over time, almost 20 additions were made to it, and according to the NBU’s estimates, it expanded to 90% of all imported goods and more than 40% of imported goods.
After the cancellation of import benefits from July 1, the list of critical import goods was canceled by the government’s decision from midnight on July 9, but the list of critical import services was preserved at the request of the National Bank.
