THE DECLARATIONS
HEAD COACH STEFANO ROSSINI: “We have prepared well, the guys have always been attentive, eager and determined to dare 100%. Initially the group was 18 elements, then with the weeks it was reduced. We were lucky enough to be able to play a good preparation tournament in Lloret De Mar, even if not fully booked. An experience that helped us to see who could be included in the group of 12. Sensations? Not so where to get. We have a rough idea of the value of the opponents but I believe that a lot will depend on us, on our approach and on our mental strength. And above all, how we will be able to overcome the difficulties that our opponents will propose to us ”.
What are the qualities you like the most about this group?
“The fact that they are a dynamic team that puts a lot of desire and energy into everything they do. As for centimeters and tonnage maybe we lack respect to other teams, but we make up for it with something else, even with a pinch of madness and instinct. The public? I expect it to be numerous and always support our boys. We will be faced with demanding challenges and the support of those who watch us from the stands will be fundamental ”.
ASSISTANT COACH ALESSANDRO MURATORI: “I have lived a couple of times the experience of being part of the staff in a home European and I must say that they are always special and intense moments, each one different from the other. The emotion is always the same, represent your country and you want to do it in the best possible way, responsibly. I think we are getting to this European well, the training period was intense and now we are ready to play. The appeal to everyone is to be there, to support us with enthusiasm. The boys need it, it can be the driving force for the group “.
MONICA GALLI – FSP: “We are preparing for this European Championship with the utmost enthusiasm and the will to guarantee everyone a high-level experience. The effort of the Federation is great, we host nine teams within the San Marino territory and at Multieventi, from Sunday 24 to Sunday 31, 29 games will be played. The work of months will culminate in a few days and we want it to be a week of basketball lived to the fullest for everyone ”.
FRANCESCO GUIDA – CAPTAIN: “Playing at home can give us an extra push. We will certainly be ready and we want to dare to the maximum of what we have inside. We can’t wait to play ”.
