Sweden’s best (dumbest?) Car designer ready to take to the streets
Check out which car designers you can see flying past you along the specially built obstacle course. Will they be able to cross the finish line or get stuck in a high bay crash somewhere along the course? Nobody knows!
Get ready for some good “Daladans”. Solvalla or Münchenbryggeriet, this crew will gallop past their competitors in style.
What happens when three engineers and a mechanic merge? Well, a rolling toilet it seems like … Meet the “Fart Mug Car” followed by Captain Filling on a bike.
When you lack the knowledge, you use courage instead, that is at least what this herd of optimistic but not very technically advanced farmers from Uppsala will do to impress the crowds and smoke their competitors. And if their car design tells us anything, it is that there is no shortage of imagination or creativity in this group.

Team “PH1” (aka Rolling Sauna)
Would it really be a Swedish soapbox race without a sauna? Obviously not. This design comes from the deep dark forests in Norrland where a bunch of speed geeks are on a mission to make everything roll. Even a sauna.
A tiger mobile + two tiger queens = a whole lot of entertainment. With the motto “you only live once, make sure to maximize your day”, this duo will be iconic on the streets of Södermalm.
Have you ever seen “Ockelbo 300”? We have heard rumors that it is an occasional little sketchy non-motorized racer that has nothing to do with Skidoos and everything to do with Box Car Rally.
Still flying high from their Flügtag days last year, this team wants to take their creative ships from the sky to the roads. But somehow it has become all about the sea? Meet the Titanic without the iceberg machine.
Four sweaty engineers studying road and water construction. Surely that sounds like a winning concept? It turns out that this is not the case at all: “We have zero experience of building roads and even less an idea of how to construct a soapbox racer …” Will the train Thomas survive the journey? We definitely hope so!
From crash landing to second place at last year’s Red Bull Flügtag, this year they keep things more grounded. But do not be fooled, this team has their eyes fixed on first place and is ready to take to the streets of Stockholm in their home-built Rorri car.
A Peter Pan clan of children trapped in adult bodies who never take anything too seriously. We always think of the dumbest thing we can do in a certain situation, then we do it, then we laugh and end it all with an ironic “Mature!”.
It is possible that even one day they will grow up to be responsible adults, but according to themselves, that day is far away. What will they bring to Boxbox Rally besides bad humor and great vibes? We can not wait to find out.
Do not be fooled by their names, this has nothing to do with the moon and everything to do with the moon. Spaceship Delux? Next big moon landing? We will find out on 21 August.
A team ready to bring “Yabba-dabba-doo!” came the competition day.
Not every day you see a horse and a carriage on the streets. Especially one that is driven by wheels instead of hooves. Still, this is exactly what this embroidery duo is about to try.
Can a forest machine-inspired racer from the forests of Värmland be both entertaining and fast? Especially on a narrow, obstacle course? Well, that’s what Team Skogshuggarna is aiming for.
A car purely built of Red Bull cans? We can not wait to see what this Stockholm – based group of daredevils is creating.
With Anton behind the wheel, Jonatan reading the map and Percy taking care of pit stop tech engineering, this piece of pizza is about to become very good. And fast.
The iconic crew – who do not come from Gävle – took to the skies in Red Bull Flügtag 2021. Back and eager to please, the crew is once again ready to be ashamed in front of a Stockholm audience. Can they break their record for the shortest flight ever in Flügtag with the shortest ride ever down the Boxcar Rally obstacle course?
From video games to soapbox racing in real life – this Småland team will bring Super Mario Kart to life. The big question is, will there be slippery banana peels and star power included?
A heartbreaker and nostalgia trip in one. The adorable (but deceptively fast) WALL-E will hit the streets of Stockholm thanks to a crew of engineers who simply can not let go of their fond childhood memories.
A team ready to break the intergalactic speed record. Or at least try to get down to the tricky, fast track that is the Box Car Rally.
What happens when your favorite race that you have seen over the years finally comes to Sweden? You state that, of course. Like this elated crew of colleagues who can not wait to write soapbox history.
