San Marino. Usl, Francesca Busignani elected general secretary: “The standard of living and purchasing power of the worker and pensioner must be guaranteed”
As anticipated by the press, Francesca Busignani was elected the new general secretary of the San Marino Workers’ Union.
The official announcement came today at the end of the union congress. Francesca Busignani, a well-known face for the battles for the Presidency of the San Marino Consumers Association – UCS, thus takes the place of Giorgia Giacominifirst female general secretary of a trade union after more than thirty years.
“There are so many nails on which to strike – writes the union in a note – and the projects to be vigorously put in place to guarantee a better future for those who in recent years have seen the Republic withdraw in many aspects. Without forgetting that it is also a priority to work so that the country does not find itself in the never justifiable condition of demolishing the rights of workers, of people one after the other.
Various points from Busignani in a speech full of specific weight that did not see even one of the statements destined exclusively to evaporate the next day, among which touches: “I always believe that we must be a strong and performing trade union, a trade union capable of putting aside prejudices and vetoes, a trade union free from political parties but that dialogues with politics, which is a very different situation. (…) A trade union capable of look to the past to draw the right lessons, but energetically projected on and for a prosperous future of the country, with a vision and a mission that is certainly not one of degrowth“.
And again: “Standard of living and purchasing power must be guaranteed of the worker, retiree who often grow all around him, costs, utilities, bureaucracy and inefficiencies, without, moreover, at the same time growing in a proportionately correct way, his task and his rights. “
Following: “We must commit, if necessary, to climb mountains in order to preserve the workforce and create new ones”. ” Remember, let us remember well that the healthy savings that are in our Banks, the direct and indirect taxation that reaches the State, the transparent liquidity that circulates in the Republic, is largely existing thanks to the workers and pensioners of this State.“.
In conclusion of the inauguration speech, the new USL Busignani Secretary General also launches a opening message with some full stops: “This is why we will give our contribution, hoping for convergence while not losing our nature, with all the employers, with CDLS and CSdL, with politics and with anyone who wants to embark on a path of real revival of our beautiful Republic. Convergences that must develop in a collaborative, transparent and mutual respect perspective; because allow me a reflection: only those who have the ability to turn the page with respect to past seasons, those who understand that the antagonism between work and business must be overcomethose who do not waste time in sterile skirmishes or ridiculous spite, those who have the capacity for a substantial unity of action especially between trade unions, redeem themselves to put aside old acrimony or personal dislikes even today for a higher purpose, for the protection and revitalization of San Marino, only and only those who have these skills, really do and will do something for this country that is not just sterile propaganda or treacherous slander“.
