When the Cologne police suddenly deployed to combat drug-related crime at the inner-city Ebertplatz, the officers, reinforced by riot police and several service dogs, seized 85 consumption units of cannabis, cocaine and amphetamines and a one-hand knife. After the operation in the afternoon, which was surprising for those affected, the police officers issued evictions and initiated criminal investigations. An 18-year-old man follows in his clothing with cannabis and amphetamines. The police also found amphetamine in a 55-year-old woman.
While the officers checked those who were found, the service dog handlers searched the train station at Ebertplatz and its surroundings intensively for hidden drug depots. Among other things, they found what they were looking for in the cladding of a ceiling lamp, under a floor grid and in the surrounding green area. The knife was found in a roller shutter box along with cannabis and packaging material.
