Salzburg: Siemens Festival>Play>Nights on the Kapitelplatz in Salzburg
For 21 years, the Siemens Festival>Play>Nights have been attracting up to 70,000 visitors from all over the world to Salzburg’s Kapitelplatz every year. Those interested in culture have the opportunity to experience historical and current festival highlights against the picturesque backdrop of Salzburg’s old town.

Salzburg – The Siemens Festival>Play>Nights – a close cooperation with the Salzburg Festival, the ORF Salzburg and Unitel – are a free cultural offer for everyone interested. From Saturday, July 23rd to Sunday, August 28th, various festival productions will be presented on an LED screen suitable for daylight in a clear atmosphere. This year’s highlights from the current festival program are the broadcasts of the operas The Magic Flute (12 and 27 August), Kata Kabanova (15 and 28 August) and Il Trittico (16 and 26 August). Musical moments of glory at the Siemens>Breakfast>Concerts
From July 23 to August 27, visitors to the Siemens>Breakfasts>Concerts can look forward to selected concerts from the program of the current festival and from previous years every Saturday from 10 a.m. The best orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra under the baton of conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Christian Thielemann and Daniel Barenboim interpret compositions by Johannes Brahms, Anton Bruckner and Ludwig van Beethoven. These concert broadcasts can be ideally combined with a hearty breakfast in the restaurant tent on the square. Siemens>Children>Program: Operas suitable for children on Friday mornings
The smallest culture fans don’t miss out either: the Siemens>Children>Program shows a colorful mixture of operas suitable for children again this year. Highlights like the popular classics The Magic Flute for children or Peter and the Wolf ensure enthusiasm for young and old. For the first time, a live program on site with face painting and other creative activities rounds off the offer.
