Grandma takes pictures of bears all over the world: But something else caught her eye in Slovakia! What did he capture with the lens?
Jenny Hibbert (70) travels the world and takes pictures of life in nature. However, her biggest passion is bears, for which she often traveled to Finland or Poland. She also visited Slovakia, but paradoxically, she was enchanted here by a snoozing tawny owl.
They found solace in photography. When she was 62, she bought her first digital camera. “I was going through a difficult divorce. Every divorce is a nightmare. It kind of distracted me from everything, so I threw myself into photography,” said Jenny. It first started with nature photography in Wales, where he lives. Jenny is the mother of four children, of whom she has ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Even in difficult climatic conditions. Her unsuspecting models are animals, but especially bears. Her love for them has drawn her twice to her favorite Finland, where she managed to photograph bear cubs. However, her life was at stake more than once during the photo shoot. One of the bears was attracted by the smell of chocolate she had in her luggage.
“The brown bear sensed her and tried to get into the shelter. So I just pounded on that side of the shelter to get him to run away,” Jenny described. She also traveled to Poland to look for bears, and apparently from there she also jumped to Slovakia, where, however, she was attracted by something completely different. “The photo was taken when I was in Slovakia, a clematis dozing in the late afternoon light,” she wrote on her Facebook page.
