David Casa says that the agreement between Malta and Azerbaijan is different from that of Europe
Nationalist Party MEP David Casa said that the agreement reached between Malta and Azerbaijan in 2014 is very different from the one that the EU hit the autocratic nation this week.
Asked for his reaction to the signed EU-Azerbaijan partnership, Casa said that during the process all international media were invited, the agreements were transparent and there was no link with the EU. corruption.
“There is a big difference between the corrupt agreement reached between Malta and Azerbaijan and the one reached with Europe. There was no hidden agreement and the process was transparent all the time “, said Casa.
This is very different from what former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said when he stated that Malta was the main country in the EU to look in places like Azerbaijan for alternative energy sources.
The news of this agreement was well received by those involved in the Labor Party where they stated that it was their government that paved the way for the new direction without mentioning Muscat.
Labor Deputy Leader Daniel Micallef was one of those and praised the deal for keeping the same price even after a pandemic and during the war between Russia and Ukraine.
“The rise in prices is felt by everyone and having the lowest inflation rate in Europe is not by chance but is the consolidation we have to rely on,” Micallef said on social media.
