From ISTAT sources, the data for the first half of the year 2022 emergewhere you notice a net growth of in the due province of Rimini and Forlì-Cesena. The increase in prices concerns almost all the expenditure items, in particular the expenses of energy goods such as electricity, gas and other fuels. In Rimini they registered positive changes, but lower than the increases in the Emilia-Romagna region and in Italy. As part of the Economic Observatory, the Chamber of Commerce of Romagna – Forlì-Cesena and Rimini has elaborated some data on the performance of the Entity in the territories of reference of the Entity, relating to the first six months of 2022.
The dynamics of consumer prices in the province of Rimini
In the first half of the year, the average change in the ISTAT consumer price index for the entire community (NIC) for the capital of Rimini (extendable to the entire province), compared to first half of 2021was equal to + 6.0%, lower than that recorded in Emilia-Romagna (+ 6.4%) and in Italy (+ 6.3%); trend that appears to be growing until March (January: + 5.0%, February: + 5.2%, March: + 6.0%), down in April (+ 5.5%) and in a decisive recovery in months of May (+ 6.5%) and, above all, June (+ 7.5%).
It should be noted that in the first six months of the year the average trend variation observed in the province was among the lowest among those found in the region, ranking seventh, in cohabitation with Parma (ahead of Reggio Emilia: + 5.5%) ; same position as regards the annual variation in June, ahead of Parma (+ 7.4%) and Reggio Emilia (+ 7.2%).
On the basis of the divisions of expenditure, the greatest average trend increase in prices (period January-June 2022) concerns the items “housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels” (+ 27.1%), within which clearly “electricity, gas and other fuels” (+ 64.7%); the latter had a predominant impact on inflation growth, following the same trend and reaching a variation of + 70.3% in June. Following, in terms of the average change in the half-year ’22 -21, we find the following divisions: “transport” (+ 8.8%), “food and non-alcoholic beverages” (+ 5.7%), “accommodation and catering” (+ 3.9%), “furniture and household items” (+ 2.6%), “education” (+ 2.2%), “health services and health costs” (+ 1.1% ), “Alcoholic beverages and tobacco” (+ 0.9%) and “recreation, entertainment and culture” (+ 0.8%). Instead they turn out in the “clothing and footwear” category (-0.6%) and, above all, the “Communications” (-4.1%). The acquisition for 202, i.e. the average change in the index in the year assuming that the index of the last month2, in future months, at the same level as the last data, turns out to be +6, in future months, it appears to be +6, in the coming months.
Lastly, the average change in the first six months of 2022, compared to the period January-June 2021, of the ISTAT consumer price index for families of workers and employees (FOI) for the Rimini capital, and therefore for the province in general , is equal to + 5.6% (June: + 7.1%).
