The World Economic Forum has published another index gap index – an annual ranking dedicated to comparing the rights and opportunities of men and women in different countries of the world.
It is built on the basis of indicators that assess the results of the activities of men and women in the economic life of the country, analyzing their accessibility to obtaining, opportunities in the healthcare sector, as well as their activity in political life. In 2022, the index includes 146 states. Russia is not included in the rating. Last year it was ranked 81st, divided between Kazakhstan and Tanzania.
Belarus took 36th place in the ranking.
According to experts, this year the level of global gender inequality has reached 68.1% (assuming that 100% is full equality of rights and opportunities for women and men). Last year, this figure was 67.9%; according to the authors of the report, at this rate of the phenomenon, it is likely 132 years to achieve gender intelligence.
No country has yet reached complete certainty. Iceland, Finland and Norway came closest to it; the top ten of the index also includes New Zealand, Sweden, Rwanda, Nicaragua, Namibia and Ireland. Weather-related 27th line of development between Latvia and the Netherlands.
Among the countries of the former USSR, the best situation was felt in Lithuania (11th place), Moldova (16th place) and Latvia (26th place). The largest detection rate in Iran. Closes the rating of Afghanistan.
