Reopening of the 10th Harry’s Home Hotels & Apartments in Telfs ♥ TOUREAL travel magazine
On July 8, 2022, the opening of the 10th Harry’s Home Hotel & Apartments in Telfs was celebrated with numerous representatives from business, sports, politics and the media.
The nice hotelier family Ultsch, Fabian, Valentina and Florian, Harald and Sonja, welcomed around 200 guests to the opening ceremony and I was there too. Mayor Christian Härting and the Ultsch family gave speeches at the opening party. Founder and Managing Director Harald “Harry” Ultsch said they are happy to finally open a Harry’s Home Hotel in their home in Tyrol. He is the namesake of Harry’s Home Hotels. The hotel is the perfect stopover for trips south as it is close to the motorway and towards the Brenner Pass.
The festival was opened with the marching in of the Telfs market band. In addition, Ms. Ultsch waved the baton.
From 9 p.m. we were entertained by the Austrian pop singer and entertainer Gregor Glanz.
The new house was opened in Telfs near Innsbruck at the end of May 2022 as the latest addition to the family of the owner-managed hotel group. In line with the opening ceremony, it was awarded the Austrian environmental certificate and the European ECOLABEL on July 6, 2022, because the careful use of resources is a challenge that you face with conviction.
The new Harry’s Home Hotel has 90 cozy studios and apartments, which I was able to see during the house tour. It is located near the center of Telfs. We took advantage of this to have a delicious meal at Greek restaurant Kouzina for dinner. I can highly recommend the restaurant, very nice staff and delicious food.
The hotel is located right next to the beautiful Telfer Bad, which has a cooperation agreement with the hotel so that guests can take advantage of what the bath has to offer. The event center with ice rink and climbing wall as well as the Inntalcenter Telfs is also nearby. E-bike rental is available directly at the hotel. So that cyclists can go directly to designated routes in the region, such as the Mieminger Plateau or the Inntal Pleasure Cycle Path.
I had the opportunity to extensively test the new hotel and the special concept of Harry’s Home Hotels. I moved into my beautiful, modern room. I slept fantastically well in the box-spring bed, which was specially designed for the hotel by the Ultsch family.
In the morning we strengthen ourselves with a healthy breakfast from the extensive buffet. We ended the evening with a cocktail at the bar.
The official opening party of the new BäreTower in Bern, currently the tallest residential building in the Swiss canton of Bern, took place on July 1, 2022. There is also Harry’s Home Hotel with a total of 116 studios and apartments.

Sonja Ultsch, hotel mom and all-rounder
During my visit, Sonja Ultsch welcomed us to the Hotel Schwarzer Adler Innsbruck and welcomed us with a glass on the roof terrace. It’s going out of fashion, so the hotel industry wasn’t really an issue for them. When her husband Harald took over the Schwarzer Adler Innsbruck in 1988, he was only supposed to support his brother for a short time. This is almost 35 years to date, in which the hotelier family has grown with the challenges and the hotel portfolio.
In 2006, the first of ten Harry’s Home Hotels & Apartments was added, followed in 2013 by the ADLERS Lifestyle Hotel Innsbruck. What she likes best in this life is the closeness to people and being right in the middle of things. The best way to describe it is: Harald is the top manager, she is a born landlady. In addition to catering activities and housekeeping, she takes care of event management and the social media channels of the hotels. She enjoys content production and receives a lot of positive feedback. We are all a family’ is the common motto in the company and there she clearly took on the role of mom.
The Hotel Schwarzer Adler Innsbruck is one of the historic buildings of the Tyrolean capital, which Emperor Maximilian I had built. He is considered an important personality of the former Habsburg dynasty in Austria. Where the court stables of the Roman-German emperor once paid for themselves, today’s boutique hotel was built in 1520 as a patrician house in what was then a noble district. Hoteliers Sonja Sophie and Harald Ultsch have been running the Schwarzer Adler since the late 1980s.
Even after the careful renovation, the historical flair can still be felt. The boutique hotel in a central location, in the immediate vicinity of the old town, is managed by the Innsbruck hotelier family Ultsch in the 4th and 5th generation. It offers a combination of modern comfort and 500 years of hotel history.
History and modernity are perfectly combined in the hotel. A few of the historic themed rooms have been preserved.
After extensive renovation, it was reopened in November 2020 and today offers its guests 50 design rooms and suites for comfortable overnight stays.
The large breakfast room was set up in the vault of the historic Kapuzinerkeller. The spa area is decorated with Swarovski elements and has a Finnish sauna, bio sauna, steam bath, water bed and Kneipp pool available for hotel guests.
End an eventful day with a refreshing drink in the stylish Pfiff Bar in the historic ambience. Florian Ultsch told us with a wink that they built the Piff Bar for themselves because it is their favorite place.
An overnight stay in the Signature Room Kaiser Maximilian of the Hotel Schwarzer Adler Innsbruck costs from 140 euros for two people. www.schwarzeradler-innsbruck.com
The family-run lifestyle hotel ADLERS was opened in 2013 as the highest hotel in Innsbruck with a panoramic view. Managed by the Innsbruck hotelier family Ultsch, it is centrally located near the old town, next to the main train station. In each of the 79 cozy panorama rooms and suites, the hotel offers a fantastically beautiful view over the roofs of Innsbruck and the surrounding mountains.
The Mountain View Spa is on the 11th floor with a Finnish sauna, bio sauna, steam bath, infrared cabin and panoramic relaxation area with mountain views. Numerous massages are also offered here.
We had lunch on the terrace of the inviting 12th floor restaurant “weitsicht”, it was simply delicious. Delicious delicacies of international and Austrian cuisine are offered here. In perfect weather we enjoyed the indescribably beautiful view.
The ADLERS Bar, which is also located on the 12th floor, invites you to create your own cocktails.
The ADLERS rooftop terrace, the highest bar in the Tyrolean capital, on the 13th floor is really beautiful. Hotel guests and locals alike enjoy sparkling refreshment and a view of the city and mountains on mild summer evenings. www.adlers-innsbruck.com
I would like to thank the Ultsch and Ariane Husung families from AHM Kommunikation for the invitation and support.
