Saying Wiersehen to single life at a festival in Portugal
Lisbon, 5pm, 32ºC. All set for the third and final of Super Bock Super Rock at Altice Arena. On the outside stage, António Miguel (Metamito project) is the first to act, soundtrack of a relaxed afternoon in the East, in the absence of Meco.
The enclosure has recently begun to fill up. A group of six friends enters the scene who made more than two thousand kilometers arrive here. They came from Frankfurt, Germany, and they don’t even mind not being in Meco: the important thing is together. Or at least… almost all of them together. Jörn, the man everyone made this trip for, seems to have gotten lost somewhere. He will say goodbye and the perfect groomsmen from here for two weddings would be the destination from here.
Everyone is in their 20s and Jörn is the first of the group to get married, but friends say that nothing will change with the end of his single life. A single travel rule: always dress the same. In addition to the three days of the festival, they explored Lisbon, took a tuk tuk ride, and above all drank a lot of Portuguese beer, “much better and cheaper than the German one”, he assures TSF. “German beer isn’t as good as everyone says.”
There are still no plans for the last day in Lisbon. It will probably be spent sleeping, after the most awaited concert: Woodkid, already after midnight. Until then, I hope to hear good music, celebrate good friendships and “maybe meet future women”. For the groom Jörn they only have one wish that he “be happy” in the ‘golden years’ to come.
