Portugal loses in Georgia in preparation for Rugby World Cup play-off

The final repechage tournament for the 2023 World Cup takes place between the 6th and 18th of November, in Dubai, with the participation of Portugal and Kenya being confirmed so far.
The Portuguese rugby international lost this Saturday in Georgia by 23-14, in a meeting of the World Rugby summer “window”, which served as a preparation for the repechage tournament for the 2023 World Cup.
In Kutaisi, Portugal was already trailing by halftime 9-6, the result was extended in the second half with two attempts transformed by the Georgians against a touch of goal not transformed only by the “wolves”.
It was Portugal’s third and last meeting in the summer “window”, after defeats against Italy, by 38-31, and Argentina XV, antechamber team of the “cougars”, by 52-35, both at Estádio do Restelo, in Lisbon.
