Kristin Scott Thomas caught Covid directing her first film
EMILY PRESCOTT: Kristin Scott Thomas was recovering at a £15,000-a-week spa in Switzerland after catching Covid while filming her first film
Dame Kristin Scott Thomas has revealed that directing her first film – and catching Covid during filming – left her so exhausted that she fled to a £15,000-a-week spa in Switzerland after the latest take was in the box.
“When we finished filming in England, I dragged my exhausted body to Clinique La Prairie in Montreux,” says Dame Kristin, 62, whose directorial debut My Mother’s Wedding stars herself, Sienna Miller and Scarlett Johansson .
“It was there that the magical powers of the amazing massage and beauty therapists, doctors and kitchens brought me back to life.”
Well, at that price, one would certainly hope so…

Pocket luck, India
I don’t know if Soho heiress India Rose James caused an uproar last week when she took to Instagram to accuse thieves of stealing three of her prized handbags during a move.
India, the granddaughter of Soho real estate and porn mogul Paul Raymond, has claimed someone stole a crystal-studded £1,800 Prada bag given to her for her 30th birthday in May.
“Two other bags were also stolen but weren’t as sentimental as this one,” she said.
After all the hooray we contacted India to ask if the bags had been recovered. Turns out she just misplaced them as they showed up in a bundle of other belongings.

The betrayed Victoria wants to tell everything
Royal commentator Victoria Arbiter says she is writing a book following her experience of broadcasters failing her by bowing to trolls who are canceling the culture.
The 48-year-old was banned from TV networks including CNN after she was tricked into commenting on Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Prince Harry and Meghan two days before YouTube quips aired it.
She revealed that a network had withdrawn an offer for her to commentate on Prince Philip’s funeral, only to offer the job to her father – former Queen’s Press Secretary Dickie Arbiter – although he was also the subject of the prank.
Victoria admitted she was disappointed that CNN didn’t consider her work history before “succumbing to online hate” and firing her.
