San Marino celebrates the spotlight on the 25th edition of the ‘Medieval Days’
There Republic of San Marino back to betting on what has always been the flagship event of the summer: the ‘Medieval Days – 1462 The Pact’. This is the title of the event, now in its 25th edition, which will take place on 28, 29, 30 and 31 July in the
streets and districts of the historic center of the country. Designed by Trends and Wavents agencies, from
European Consortium of Historical Reenactments and the Italian Committee of Associations
National Historic, with this year’s theme the festival is conceptually linked to
one of the pivotal dates in San Marino history: on 21 September 1462 the
Pacts of Fossombrone between the Papacy and San Marino, united in the war against the Malatesta lords
and from which the conformation and geographic extension of San Marino originated in 1463
it will no longer vary in history
“The Medieval Days are an event that endures over time and that, net of some
vicissitudes, inaugurate the schedule of summer appointments in the historic center of San
Marino Unesco World Heritage Site for many years – he declared Federico Pedini Amati, State Secretary for Tourism of the Republic of San Marino -. We are happy to present them in the original format. The presentation of the event in Milan (yesterday, ed) is in line with the will of the Secretariat of State to exploit these prestigious initiatives for to make our Republic known and to promote tourism. We are all curious, myself included, to know the news and the particularities of the 2022 edition of the Medieval Days that I invite everyone to come and live in the Republic of San Marino ”.
The festival, by virtue of its green and eco-sustainability policies, is included among the official Eco Actions events of Legambiente and is the first San Marino event with this certification, i.e. an event that implements a series of measures aimed at reducing the environmental impact.
