Archeology writes history, looting erases it. Many lootings are committed on archaeological sites each year in France and in the Mediterranean basin.
The Marseille History Museum has decided to highlight this fact, which is an offense punishable by law.
The young pianist Mila Gostijanovic has been playing in concert since the age of 9. After her DEM and her prize at the Musica Mundi School, she continued her apprenticeship with Jacques Rouvier, Denis Pascal and Anne Queffelec.
She will perform pieces by Fanny Mendelssohn and Clara Schumann, with the complicity of Maria Kohler, actress.
The latter will read us the letters of these two composers whose compositions have sometimes been signed by men. A four-handed job that does justice!
As part of the temporary exhibition “Guilty Treasures – Archaeological Looting in France and in the Mediterranean Basin” from October 14, 2022 to September 17, 2023.
A Marseille Concerts proposal, in partnership with the Museum of African, Oceanic and Amerindian Arts; the Museums of the City of Marseilles and the City of Marseilles.
[Durée 1h – Gratuit sur réservation]
