The hiring of frontier workers has been liberalized for all sectors in San Marino, the Organization of Entrepreneurs satisfied
“After months of requests from us, the Labor Commission finally approved the liberalization for the recruitment of frontier workers”.
TheSan Marino organization of entrepreneursunderlining in a statement that the green light for the liberalization of the recruitment of frontier workers in San Marino “It arrived at the last meeting of the assembly and is valid from 11 July to 30 September 2022; after that date, an assessment of internal unemployment will be made again and a decision will be made whether to leave liberalization confirmed or to suspend it ”.
The aforementioned liberalization “is addressed to all tasks and all sectors: to proceed with the hiring of the frontier worker, the announcement must first be completed on the Labor portal, the same procedure adopted up to now on liberalized tasks “.
Osla’s request “was motivated by the fact that the domestic unemployment rate has reached low levels, below 3%, and therefore it becomes increasingly difficult to find resident personnel; moreover, this unemployment rate no longer justifies protectionist measures, which in any case our association has never shared, considering them counterproductive for the economy as a whole ”.
There liberalization of the labor market was “required by regulation the lowering of the unemployment rate, but despite the fact that this condition has already occurred in recent months and despite the fact that very stringent periodic checks were foreseen to avoid an increase in unemployment the Labor Commission had not considered authorizing the liberalization of recruitment before today, with a clearly opposed position, always expressed, of our association “.
The San Marino Entrepreneurs Organization affirms that it has “always believed that it is an undeniable right for an entrepreneur to be able to freely choose his collaborators, even more so in small and medium-sized companies; Furthermore, this aspect should be emphasized as it is fundamental for attracting new investments and therefore for economic development: no foreign entrepreneur can see favorably investing in a country where it is the State, or the procedures it imposes, to indicate which collaborators to hire. “.
Finally, “it should be borne in mind that protectionist norm in this sense would go in the opposite direction to the path of association with any EU that the country is pursuing“.
