Germany will run out of gas reserves in three weeks. How is Slovakia and other countries doing?
Latvia has gas reserves for the whole year, but Europe outside the south will not do well in winter. “The exception is to some extent Hungary and definitely Austria and Slovakia,” they write Data without Pathos on social network Facebook.
Germany, on the other hand, will not be doing well even if it fills its reservoirs to 100 percent. “It will run out of stock in three weeks in December, just like the stock of chips in car factories,” they state that they simply went and are going just-in-time, because it was cheap, they had the risk of Russia “to zero” and their trust in Putin “to hugs”.
According to Dát bez Pathos, the whole of Europe has very expensive gas in its reservoirs, while for the past years it was a fraction of the price, but everyone was betting on “it will be cheaper” and “there will be enough of it”. “It is/will be expensive now and it is/will be scarce,” they warn.
Criticism from analysts was also earned by politicians who pretended to manage risks, but did not order anything. “Most of them never work anywhere other than data,” they stated. According to them, Maroš Šefčovič, who was the vice-president of the European Commission responsible for the energy union, also has a lot of “butter on his head”. “The name because someone is responsible for everything and even paid by us. We have expensive Šefčovič and expensive gas. Of course, it can’t be the other way around,” they added.
