Of these, only Viana do Castelo will change to orange at 23:00 today – very accurate heat warning values. The districts of Lisbon, Setúbal, Beja, which today will be tomorrow under orange warning, will change to orange in the morning, going down to orange during the night.
Faro is the only continental district with a warning, once they reach maximum temperature values, confirmed by the IPMA.
Portugal has been on contingency since Monday due to the weather situation that points to a high risk of rural fire.
According to IPMA forecasts, the “very hot and very dry weather in mainland Portugal” will remain until Friday, at 23:59.
