Young writers from the Euroregion Galicia – Northern Portugal have applied for the Nortear Literary Prize
A total of 40 young writers from the Euroregion Galicia – Northern Portugal applied for the 8th Edition of the Nortear Literary Prize. The event is an initiative of the European Group for Territorial Cooperation of the Euroregion Galicia – Northern Portugal, the Consellería de Cultura, Educação e Universidade da Xunta de Galicia and the Regional Directorate for Culture of Northern Portugal.
The name of the winner will be known at the beginning of September. The award will be presented at the later edition of the hdural fair in Galicia, Culturgal, at the end of the year.
The North Literary Prize has a financial endowment of three thousand euros and includes an announcement of the winning work in Galician and Portuguese. Distinguish literary works annually, to stimulate the launch of new creators, encourage literary creativity among young creators in the Euroregion Galicia – Northern Portugal and promote a distribution of literary works-front beyond. All persons with full legal capacity, born and/or residing in the Northern Region of Portugal or in Galicia, between the ages of 16 and 36, with original and unpublished works, written in Portuguese, according to the new agreement, can apply. orthographic, and in Galician, according to the current orthographic regulations published by the Real Academia Galega, on the genre of the short story. The seven winners in the previous editions were: Lara Dopazo, Rui Cerqueira Coelho, Ceília Santomé, Sara Brandão, Sabela Varela, Célia Fra Pedro Rodríguez Villar.
