Planegg, Krailling – music school celebrates despite the anger – district of Munich
These are difficult times for the Planegg-Krailling music school: The deputy headmaster Thomas Schaffert does not yet know exactly how things will continue after the two communities of Planegg and Krailling have ceased their unified schools after endless disputes. The mayors put you “into an artificial coma,” he says. But that didn’t stop the tradition-conscious music school from celebrating its 50th anniversary on the Planegger Marktplatz on Saturday – on Sunday together with the Planegger “Naturfreunde”, who just turned 100 years old.
Headmaster Schaffert, who retired with this celebration after 23 years of professional activity – 18 of them alone at the music school – once again succeeded in putting on an attractive program together with his teachers, parents and of course the music students of all ages put together that many Planeggers enjoyed. The school choir, led by Schaffert, started with well-known songs to sing along to.
Then it got rocky: The two new school bands “The Sunshine Players” and “Revolution”, led by Jörg Hess, got going. Completely different then “Die Aufdrahtn”, with very special folk music, rehearsed by Jutta Hörger. Michaela Hefele then presented the double bass orchestra and the festival ended around 7 p.m. with the accordion orchestra “Akkokids” and the “Funtasters” conducted by Günter Faithr.
