THE BALL – Inês Silva (FC Porto) wins the Portuguese Cup of Pool (Billiards)
A victory in the ‘black’ (6-5) over Sara Rocha (Bracara) in the final of the competition, organized by the Portuguese Billiards Federation and played on Friday night at Termas do Bicanho (Soure), earned Inês Silva, from FC Porto, the conquest of the Portuguese Women’s Pool Cup of the 2021/22 season.
Until reaching the decisive confrontation, the athlete of the Dragons won, in the Final Phase, two other teammates in the Porto team: she beat Ágata Castro by 6-4 in the quarter finals and only in the semi-finals did she get rid of Vânia Oliveira Franco on the 11th and then partial, in the final similarity of what happened, (6-5).
With free entry for all the early starts of the Championship, the final phase of the National Women’s Pool is disputed, with the definitive duel already underway and the guarantee that another title in these stages of billiards will not go to those of Oliveira Franco and the same Inês Silva play in the final, a match in progress at this time.
In the Group Stage of the National Championship, played on Friday as FC Porto players, it started in Group 2, with Vânia Oliveira Franco winning Inês Silva 5-1 and then Sérgia Queirós (CB Pool Master) 5-4 to seal qualification for the semi-finals.

The final phase of the Portuguese Men’s Pool Cup is also taking place during the weekend, at this time still in the 16th of the final and with 32 players still in the competition: the final will be on Sunday, the 10th of the month, starting at 18:00 hours, and free entry at all hours.
