SM Caen drops in the ranking of training centers
Despite the excellent performance of the U18s in Gambardella (defeat in the final against OL), SM Caen has fallen back in the latest ranking of training centers published by the French Football Federation.
To calculate this ranking, the FFF relies on five criteria rated from 0 to 5 stars: the number of professional contracts signed, the playing time in the first team, the national selections, the level of diploma obtained by the players trained at the club and representation in European teams. With an average of 3/5 stars, the Norman club does less well than last season (3.5/5) and goes from 6th to 8th place among the best French training centers. It is Lyon who come first with 4.55 stars, while Le Havre are the best pupil in Ligue 2 with 4.1 stars. Here is the comparison of the 2021-2022 season compared to the 2020-2021 season for SM Caen.
