New Erre Meetings, the yachting of tomorrow is being invented at the CNTL » PACA’s economic and political newsletter
First in the history of the DSP 1, the “New Erre” Meetings, which took place on Thursday July 7, brought together at the CNTL-Marseille actors from different spheres of yachting, while the Marseille city is preparing to host the sailing events of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Presentations, round tables, exchanges, but also demonstrators of solutions fed this unprecedented highlight, set up on the occasion of the festivities of the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Club – launched in 1970. On the program, cross-cutting themes encompassing the evolution of more inclusive and participatory practices, transformations of port reception in the digital age and taking into account the climate emergency in the relationship with the marine environment.
Franck Recoing, President of CNTL-Marseille:“In a club like the CNTL, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, we cannot hide a reflection like this which symbolizes our values and will guide our action in the future. In 50 years, in 2070, what could our descendants say about what we will have done, in 2022, to anticipate a better future? We want to extend this anticipation to all DSPs in the Old Port, and beyond. New error is only the start of a series of TedX, conferences, debates to ensure that this reflection of the day is not unique, and that it takes off. »
Mathieu Rozières, General Delegate of the New Erre Meetings:“The first assessment is that this completely new approach, which is to associate all the players involved in the future of nautical societies and the future of ports – start-ups, academics, academics, institutional leaders – all together prospective, imagine the port of the future, the first observation is that it is interesting. The marquee was full, with 120 people who came to spend the afternoon with us on extremely rich debates. It’s a vector of pride, and also a vector of hope, because if we want to improve our ports, improve our nautical societies, improve our practice of yachting, it will go through the action of everyone. This proactive approach pleases, and it gives a lot of hope. The other important point of the day is that this process, initiated today with Nouvelle Erre, is called upon to structure itself, to leave the walls of the CNTL and to bring all the other players into it. I am extremely proud to see other nautical companies in the old port, to see the communities, so in the end all the actors involved in these transitions are there. Finally, the last important point of this day is the incredible quality of the discussions that took place, with really extremely inspiring testimonials Jacques Rougerie who came to share his vision on the important emotion of contact with the sea, just before to lay the first stone of the Olympic marina, but also all of these start-ups which have shown all the reservoir of intelligence contained in technology, which could be able to improve things and finally, this call for global responsibility for everyone, this call also for sobriety in changing practices because ultimately whatever the intelligence, and whatever the technologies, and this movement of collective intelligence and movement, together, which will change things. So a very good report and I hope that we will see each other very soon for the rest of Nouvelle Erre. »
