The Musica Strasbourg Festival unveils its 2022 season
The Musica Strasbourg Festival has unveiled its 2022 season, which opens on September 15 and ends on October 2.
For the purposes of this article, we will only focus on vocal performance.
Emilio Pomárico will conduct the Resonanz Ensemble in “Migrants” by Georges Aperghis. The work will be performed by mezzo-soprano Christina Daletska, soprano Agata Zubel and alto Geneviève Strosser.

Aleksi Barrière will stage “Only Sound Remains” by Saariaho under the musical direction of Ernest Martínez-Izquierdo. The work will star Michal Slawecki, Bryan Murray, MIreia Tarragó, Mariona Llobera, Matthew Thomson and Joan Miquel Muñoz.
Performance date: September 16 & 18, 2022
“À mi-mots” will feature music for voice and clarinet by Zad Moultaka, Daphné Hejebri, Georges Aperghis and Zeynep Gedizlioglu. Françoise Kubler and clarinettist Armand Angster will be the main soloists, alongside the Adastra Quartet.

There will be a screening of “Innocence” by Saariaho from the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence in 2021.

Soprano Faustine de Monès, Mireia Tarragó, Mariona Llobera, Matthew Thomson and Joan Miquel Muñoz will headline “Kaija in the Mirror,” a program featuring music by Kaija Saariaho, including “Changing Light,” Die Aussicht”, “NoaNoa”, “Light, still and moving”, “Seven butterflies” and “Nights, farewell”.

Soprano Mathilde Barthélémy will perform alongside Ensemble Atmusica for music by Beat Furrer, Jacob Druckman, Georges Asperghis, Silvia Borzelli, Francesco Filidei and Jessie Marino.
