PV – Nordic Solar enters Sweden with four new solar parks
The Danish solar energy company Nordic Solar has signed a cooperation agreement with Helios Nordic Energy on the development and establishment of four solar parks in southern Sweden. The four photovoltaic parks will generate energy for private consumers or companies corresponding to the consumption of 44,000 private households.
Nordic Solar, which develops, builds and operates solar parks on an industrial scale in now 12 European countries, has the pleasure of establishing itself in a neighboring country with a strong local partner.
“We are experiencing an enormous demand for green energy and the accelerated transition from fossil fuels to green energy, not least in Scandinavia, has created a vacuum that requires significant and rapidly increasing production capacity. Therefore, we are pleased to be able to add four completely new solar parks in the southern Swedish region that will be developed by Helios Nordic Energy, a strong Swedish project developer, ”says Nikolaj Holtet Hoff, CEO of Nordic Solar.
Helios Nordic Energy, which will develop the solar parks, is looking forward to collaborating with Nordic Solar.
“The entire Helios team is pleased to enter into this partnership with Nordic Solar, which is a good match for Helios Nordic Energy both in terms of ambitions and expertise. We look forward to working together to provide southern Sweden with an increasing amount of sustainable electricity for the benefit of both Swedish electricity customers and the climate, says Andreas Tunbjer, CEO of Helios Nordic Energy AB.
The solar cell parks in southern Sweden are expected to be completed in 2023, 2024 and 2025, respectively.
