Planegg: Competition of the music schools – District of Munich
Since 2005, the Kreissparkasse Foundation has supported charitable institutions and projects in the district of Munich. 2020 marks the fifteenth anniversary of its founding. On this occasion, the finale of a competition will be held on Sunday, July 10th, which reflects the diversity of musical creativity of young and old from the district: the music school prize. Due to the pandemic, the competition planned for 2020 could only be held in the 2021/22 school year. It now culminates on Sunday in the Kupferhaus Planegg, in a concert with seven performances by cooperation projects between music schools and general schools from the district of Munich. Around 150 musicians will take part. There will be performances by a symphony and string orchestra, baroque solo concertos, orchestral crossover music, percussion and guitar sounds. The performers come from the music school Planegg-Krailling, the youth music school Gräfelfing, the music school and elementary school at the forest Taufkirchen, the music schools Neuried/Pullach and other music schools (Garching, Grünwald and Unterhaching). The concert competition begins on Sunday at 3 p.m., and the award ceremony is scheduled to take place around 5:15 p.m. The jury consists of Rudens Turku, soprano Francesca Paratore and conductor Henri Bonamy. District Administrator Christoph Göbel (CSU) is the patron. There are prizes worth 3,000, 2,000 and 1,000 euros and an additional 1,000 euros for the audience prize.
