OKQ8 expands the electric car network with new super-fast chargers
The company has installed the units in its Skönsbergs petrol station in the city of Sundsvall as its 10th upgraded location.
OKQ8 has expanded its electric car charging infrastructure with the opening of three new super-fast chargers. The units, which are equipped with two charging points each, have been installed in Skönsberg’s petrol station of the brand located in the city of Sundsvall.
“It feels great that we are increasing the accessibility for all electric car drivers in Sundsvall with super fast charging by up to 150 kW. By making it easier and faster for customers to charge their vehicles, I believe that the willingness to switch to an electric car will increase, which is an important part of the transition to a sustainable future “, says Karin Hellgren, Head of Communications at OKQ8.
The new equipment marks the upgrade of its tenth station in the series as part of OKQ8’s plan to increase accessibility for electric car drivers throughout the country. The company aims to distribute 800 charging points with 400 chargers at 300 locations in its network by 2026.
“The timetable has been delayed by time-consuming and bureaucratic processes. With a more efficient and faster application process, we would have additional charging points in place,” Hellgren added.
Customers will be able to pay for the charging service with a regular credit card, an OKQ8 charging card and through the company’s Electric Car Charging app at no extra cost. In addition to Skönsbergsstationen, OKQ8 has upgraded nine other locations with super-fast browsers and plans to expand its network to almost 50 locations by the end of the year.
