The Directorate General of the Public Service of San Marino awarded at the 1st edition of “Paperless & Digital Awards”
The 1st edition of the “Paperless & Digital Awards” was held last Friday in Padua; in the final also the general direction of the Public Service of the Republic of San Marino with the presentation of the project for the adoption of the electronic registered letter.
The Directorate General of the Public Administration of the Republic of San Marino won the “Paperless Network” awardin the Public Administrations category, to first edition of “Paperless & Digital Awards”an initiative conceived with the aim of enhancing and daring visibility, in the Italian national context, to large companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, public administrations (central and local), health facilities (public and private), startups and spin-offs, institutions non-profit organizations, which have distinguished themselves for good practices in digitizing business processes and providing services / products
The scientific committee, made up of experts in the sector (representatives of the business and research world, academics, members of trade associations and specialized journalists) wanted to reward the project “for making the practice of registered mail completely paperless, with a certified sending system that has made it possible to achieve the goal of reducing the use of paper “.
“It is a recognition – declares the Director of the Civil Service, Manuel Canti – which rewards the efforts made in recent years for the dematerialisation of the processes that take place within the Administration. Today we can boast a service, that of electronic registered mail, which has allowed us to set up and undertake a path aimed at the progressive digitization of user requests and requests and, in general, administrative documents, also through the implementation of the regulatory framework aimed at guarantee to the electronic medium the legal certainties and the probative value of the ‘traditional’ paper one. This means greater speed, safety and leanness and lower costs, not only for the Administration but also for businesses and citizens ”.
“Canti always ends with this award – confirms the general commitment of the public function towards the goal of digital innovation in the public sphere. We will continue along this path by launching, shortly, an important project to simplify and strengthen the degree of security in telematic communications between users and the administration through the Public Administration Portal; this to the advantage of citizens, businesses and the Administration itself “.
