With the transfer market in full swing, the San Marino Academy is ready to dive into a new season of women’s football. Which for the third year will see the Titans in the starting blocks of the Serie B national championship, second level. Stable among the best in Italy for the past four years, the white-blue company has recently started a clear renewal at a technical and managerial level. It is a few weeks ago that during the next season Domenichetti will be at the helm of the team, the first coach in the history of the company since – in 2017 – the San Marino Academy project became official. Together with the physiological renewal of the squad, the Sports Director Francesca Lanotte has focused on confirming the hard core that in recent years has determined the excellent performance of the club at the highest levels of Italian women’s football.
The future of Raffaella Barbieri, Francesca Montanari, Giulia Baldini and Martina Piazza will still be a white-blue tint. All four arrived in the summer of 2018, and are preparing to experience the fifth year as a protagonist with the San Marino Academy with which they have obtained two consecutive promotions – the first from the success in the Serie C championship and subsequent winning play-off with the leaders of the another group, the Riozzese. Francesca Lanotte also made a mark in that match, now a manager in the first team after her experience in the Women’s Primavera last year. The company’s intention is to set up a competitive squad, in line with the ambitions of a team that in its history can boast a second and a third place in the two Serie B teams played so far. Important negotiations to be finalized will soon be formalized and the thoughts of Raffaella Barbieri, one of the historic columns of the white-blue bike, will also turn to the future new teammates: “The company is setting up a competitive team to play a high level championship, we will face the season with the same spirit that has distinguished us in recent years. Our intent is to take this club as high as possible, passing from concrete and ambitious projects. The San Marino Academy jersey is now a second skin for us in the “This old guard “and we are very keen to do our best for the club. I wish future new teammates to integrate quickly and find each other well: because what happens will be that we, already part of the club for some seasons, welcome them in the best way , basing the locker room on the determining values of a group: loyalty, mutual respect, willingness to sacrifice and mentality à winning. These are elements that have always distinguished the San Marino Academy “.
