Bad Ischler is the new president of the ÖAMTC Salzburg
BAD ISCHL/SALZBURG. Erich Lobensommer (65) from Bad Ischl takes over the presidency at the general assembly of the ÖAMTC Salzburg. Lobensommer succeeds Renate Hilber, who held the highest honorary position in the mobility club for three years and retired at the recognized age limit of 75 in accordance with the statutes.
The newly elected President Erich Lobensommer knows the ÖAMTC like no other. Before retiring, the Bad Ischler was director of the Salzburg club for 30 years. Lobensommer sees the changed mobility needs of people, the topic of sustainability and the increasing polarization in society as a major challenge for the future. “It is important to me to put what we have in common ahead of what divides us, and I will do everything in my power to ensure affordable, but also climate-friendly mobility,” says Lobensommer.
Predecessor Renate Hilber was appointed Honorary Vice President by the General Assembly for her many years of commitment. In 1987, the former entrepreneur was the first woman to be elected to the board, from 1996 to 2019 Hilber was vice president and since then president of the Salzburg Club.
Managing Director Martina Schlegel-Lanz was able to report to the General Assembly on a successful sale in 2021. At the end of 2021, the Salzburg Club had 136,479 members, which means an increase of 2.6 percent. “Particularly in uncertain times, people trust the safety net of the ÖAMTC,” emphasizes Schlegel-Lanz.
