At the end of the first edition of this project, Nataša Bučar, director of the Slovenian Film Center, said: “I am glad that we were able to offer the actors a special opportunity to explore and network. Slovenia mostly participates in co-productions with other countries in the region. Therefore, facilitating networking and raising the profile of regional actors seems all the more crucial. It is crucial that the importance of this project was also recognized by my colleagues from other film centers, as this gives special weight to the professional event at the Kranj festival and ensures a long and consistent future. “
Tina Hajon, its initiator and leader, said: “The implementation of the ReActing program – the first of its kind in our region – has been very constructive and successful. I am glad that Slovenia had the opportunity to host all these distinguished actors and act for a common goal with renowned film professionals from abroad. We have definitely gained the momentum needed to organize several ReActing editions! ”
Croatian actor Leon Luchev, one of the lecturers, said: “This experience was invaluable on several levels: meetings, sharing, socializing, honest reconnection and networking. At ReActing, we removed taboos, discussed our doubts, hopes and problems, raised key issues and thought about solutions. “
Macedonian director Teona Strugar Mitevska, the head of one of the workshops of the program, stated: “Why didn’t we do it earlier ?! But as the famous saying goes, it’s never too late and that’s where it all started. The program is extremely detailed and intensive. Speakers are experienced, recognized and know for sure what they are talking about. The talents are carefully selected, everything is done to a very high standard, and last but not least, the organizers have created a wonderful atmosphere where beauty accompanies us everywhere! ”
