Diocese: San Marino-Montefeltro, tomorrow evening round table “Female experiences in the social, work and family” for the Day for politicians
“Social, work and family experiences”. This theme will be addressed in the round table to be held on the evening of Friday 24 June, at 9 pm at the St. Joseph’s Retreat House in Valdragone, in San Marino, for the 2002 Political Day promoted by the diocese of San Marino-Montefeltro, on the occasion of the feast of St. Thomas More, patron saint of politicians and rulers.
“Every year – explains a note – the diocese proposes this appointment to awaken consciences regarding political commitment as a high form of charity, to make those involved in politics feel the closeness and encouragement of the Christian community and the appeal to values of the Christian social doctrine “.
This year the diocesan office of social and labor pastoral care, to which the realization of the event is entrusted, has chosen to focus on the theme “Politics, society, business … words in the feminine: prophecy or utopia?”. “The objective – reads the note – is a space for reflection and discussion on the social, political and economic role of women starting from the vision of the Church and the territorial context”. The topic will be addressed in the round table “Female experiences in the social, work and family”, which will be attended by women involved in politics, work, work and the third sector. “Through their testimony of life they will share the difficulties experienced, the goals achieved, the goals missed, the specific contribution as women and the possible prospects for a more sustainable future also from the point of view of gender equality”.
